This is not a sad moment, nor a happy one either... Rare, confusing.
Next June 30 my term (also my team term) will be over...
We had walked a long way together, some fucking excellent stuff had happend, some not so good as well, but we close it with a relative big growth.
Our country did not have any trainees in the country at all for the last 2 years... we had 6 guys from the netherlands, USA, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil... maybe some more (3 more for sure) comming before we end the term... many guys went abroad and are now living theyr experiences in many countrys... also the members growth was quite interesting, only one LC has 42 members now, wich constitutes an excellent base to improve the numer and quality of our exchanges... We put Argentina back in the international circuit again, we are part of many of the internationals intiatives, in some of them we are doing really good. Our memebers are more aware of the role they have, the work that has to be done, what it takes to be a good comitee... what it takes to be profesional, that is more ant attitude than any thing else.
Personally I know we could have done much more... but we have done a lot in just a few months (specially the first half of the term)... i am leaving the MC not so stisfied, but happy.
We had learned, I had learned a lot. This is a huge expirence.
I would say that i am saying goodbay to AIESEC now... but i said this back in september 2002... and, plus, there are some places you won't ever go.
The term is ending, and i am in charge of the Sustantability Day in the Southern Cone conference... a day to get more eXchange projects .. we will have some organizations in the day, taking part of it, delivering some agenda also... I will do my best to get this thing done... as hope of sustaintability, as wish for the next MC and all the LC in the SC to keep on going the growth path... to keep on the attitude that lead us during the past months... ATTITUD eXchange!
Kinda sad, kinda happy,
